This is what happens when you make up a painting as you go along. The only solid idea was the frame within a frame and objects escaping the picture. Many strange objects such as cars and plastic dinosaurs ended up in there, just thought it was a good idea at the time. I pretty much worked a whole semester on it and finished it just hours before it was due. It's my second largest painting and the commission Cerebral Gathering was based on it. The title came from where I spent most of my free time, good drunken and stoned memories in Dave's Basement. But some very strange things always seemed to happen around 3A.M. The title always makes me smile. I had no idea that people would actually like this old work, I'm going to get it photographed by a pro and probably make it available for prints. For now it fills a big empty wall in my bedroom.
